WOMYNZ VOICE is a poppin’ party/fundraiser for Global and Local organizations that are in service to women’s health, safety, well being and freedom.
On January 21st, 2012, WV will be gathering again at CLOUD 9 in Berkeley, California to continue this collective experiment and open forum for men, women and everything in between. Specifically geared to give those that identify themselves as women a platform to share their story, aka VOICE. Whether it be through dance, song, painted canvas or turntables, we want to hear from you. We want to know what it is like to be YOU- a “woman” post feminist revolution- preceding the generations of women before us that helped form us- but yet do not FULLY define us. We extend beyond our roots. We are making history and herstory. What do we have in common? What is different about us? What do we think about our world right now? What do we think about the role of woman AND man? What do we want to accomplish? Let’s gather and discover, all while we enjoy AMAZING, ORIGINAL LIVE DANCE, MUSIC and ART.
FUNDRAISER for SOLID FOUNDATION: MANDELA HOUSE in OAKLAND
Last WV- we raised almost $400 for the Organization for Women’s Freedom in Iraq. This WV- we are raising money for a LOCAL organization called SOLID FOUNDATION- in association with the MANDELA HOUSE in OAKLAND. This organization has been running for close to 30 years. It is a substance abuse treatment center that works with mothers, children and women in need of serious help. They provide housing as well as rehabilitation and have helped hundreds of women recover from being severe addicts to becoming healthy, drug free mothers. There are lasting results through SOLID FOUNDATION. Many women that attend the full program register at LANEY COLLEGE and get degrees, helping provide a better life for themselves and their families. MANDELA HOUSE is always in need for volunteers. ALL OF THE PROCEEDS of the WOMYNZ VOICE- are going to this organization. We also want to encourage you all to sign up as a VOLUNTEER for SOLID FOUNDATION as well as other organizations to really BE IN ACTION- participate and help another person in need to find empowerment.

Join MAPS for The Kaleidoscope Vault, an experiential benefit celebration that will delight your senses. Purchase artworks from the world’s preeminent visionary artists, rare collectibles from the history of psychedelic science, and priceless travel packages and experiences—all while enjoying a unique and stimulating series of intimate encounters and interactive adventures with artists, thinkers, and activists.
Guests of The Kaleidoscope Vault will be treated to a multitude of sensory indulgences, including themed food stations, full-service bar, music, and interactive displays and exhibits, including meet-the-artist stations hosted by visionary painters and digital and organic mural-makers. Enjoy a ceremonial cup of tea, and participate in the Treasure Hunt Adventure to increase your chances of winning a prize from our $2500 raffle.
The evening’s journey continues as luminaries from the psychedelic past, present, and future share their hearts and minds and discuss MAPS’ work at the frontiers of psychedelic science. Presentations by Rick Doblin, Ph.D., Alex & Allyson Grey (Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors), Charles Shaw (FractalNation Village, The Exile Nation Project), Android Jones & Phaedra Ana (Phadroid), Daniel Pinchbeck (Evolver, Reality Sandwich), Paul Stamets (Mycologist, 6 Ways Mushrooms Can Save the World), Neal Goldsmith, Ph.D (Author: “Psychedelic Healing”), Ethan Nadelman (Executive Director, Drug Policy Alliance), and many others.
After the presentations the performance auctioneer extraordinaire Elias Arjan takes to the stage to conduct an entertaining auction unlike any you have ever attended, where your enjoyment of the moment is enhanced by the opportunity to buy visionary art, travel packages, and unique gifts. Elias will be accompanied by The Shamanic Cheerleaders—a performance troupe guaranteed to elevate spirits and open minds. Come discover a treasure you’ll cherish for a lifetime, an emblem of psychedelic history, or a once-in-a-lifetime experience not generally available to the public. Your participation in this event will fund research into the beneficial applications of MDMA, LSD, ayahuasca, ibogaine, and medical marijuana.
The evening will come to a close with a memorial celebrating the late Robert Venosa, hosted by Martina Hoffmann with accompaniment from Charles Shaw. The memorial will feature a special tribute video on Robert’s life from Jonathan Singer, a Venosa-inspired Phadroid digital dance performance by Android Jones & Phaedrana, and will close with musical performances by Random Rab and David Block (The Human Experience).
